We are Maša, Oscar, Jasna, Luka, and Lucija, a team of future doctors and one dentist, embarking on a
humanitarian medical mission to Uganda in April 2025. For three months, we will provide professional healthcare
to the local residents and raise awareness about the importance of hygiene, oral health, balanced nutrition,
and protection against infectious diseases.

Before our departure, we aim to raise as many funds as possible to purchase medicines and medical supplies so that we
can make a significant impact and reach as many people as possible during our stay. You can be a part of our story too!

More about our team

For three months, our home will be the Bwama island, located in the middle of Lake Bunyonyi at an altitude of 1,962 meters. Here, we will be based at Bwama Health Centre III, where we will provide care and treatment to those in need.

The goal of our mission is to offer the highest quality medical care at the clinic, which we will complement with visits to remote villages through an "outreach" program. This will allow us to engage in preventive health measures, raising awareness among healthy individuals, detecting and treating asymptomatic diseases, and providing assistance to those for whom our clinic is difficult to access. Our work will include dental care, minor surgical procedures, chronic wound care, testing and treatment of infectious diseases, blood tests, management of chronic non-communicable diseases, as well as gynecological and obstetric care. At the same time, we aim to raise awareness about the importance of hygiene, oral health, protection against infectious diseases, and balanced nutrition.
